Lecture dedicated to the International anti-corruption Day

The international anti-corruption day has been celebrated annually on 9 December since 2004. On this day in 2003, the UN Convention against corruption, adopted by the UN General Assembly on 1 November 2003, was opened for signature at a high-level Political conference in Merida, Mexico. This international Treaty provides for measures to prevent corruption, punish the perpetrators, as well as mechanisms for international cooperation in combating it. 

Since the first days of its independence, Kazakhstan has been leading an uncompromising fight against corruption. Kazakhstan is ready for constructive cooperation on the anti-corruption front with all States and relevant international organizations. 

Lecture dedicated to the International Day against Corruption, with the participation of a leading specialist of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption in the Kostanay Region E.S. Bedych was held in the college assembly hall on 12/11/2019. The following issues were revealed during the conversation: corruption - the concept and basic forms; responsibility for corruption crimes; corruption prevention in educational institutions; what needs to be done in case of extortion, bribe.

Yevgeny Sergeyevich Bedych informed the youth about the main provisions of the new legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of combating and preventing corruption, announced the rules for encouraging persons who reported the facts of a corruption offense, or otherwise assist in combating corruption.  

The students of the College asked a number of thematic questions to the representative of the Department, which were fully answered at the end of the meeting.
